 About Mike Porter
Mike Porter is President of Print/Mail Consultants
and an expert in document operations workflow.
During a career that includes service bureau
production and management, hardware vendor technical
support, management of outsourced print and mail
operations, and independent consulting, he has
consistently improved document operations for his
employers and clients.
Today, Mike specializes in working with
organizations that produce highly personalized mail
pieces such as bills, statements, notices, checks,
or other critical business documents. He has helped
companies save money, improve quality, and fully
exploit their existing investments in hardware,
software, and people.
Together with the consulting practice, Print/Mail
Consultants also generates custom informational
content for document industry professionals and
other organizations to publish in newsletters,
blogs, web sites, and trade media. In partnership
with Constant Contact, the company also manages
e-newsletter programs for their clients.
Mike is a featured columnist in Mailing Systems
Technology magazine and has authored many articles
published in print and online. He produces free
monthly newsletters for document professionals and
his book, Take This Job and Stuff It! A Practical
Guide for Document Operations Managers, helps to
educate print/mail managers and staff members.
