Account Executive (Sales Department)

Melissa Data, a global enterprise data quality software and services company, has open positions for salespeople out of our corporate office in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Melissa Data has had double digit growth each year for 10 years in a row with our subscription licensing model with built-in residual business.

We are seeking new Account Executives who will identify new enterprise customers, present our solutions to them using a consultative sales model, close the sale and then service the account going forward. We have a sales engineering team to help with the technical aspects of the sales cycle so if you are comfortable learning how to use new technology an in-depth knowledge of software and high tech products is not required.

Applicants must be high energy, self motivated and willing to push themselves every day to improve their craft. We need a team that can effectively engage C -Level executives and show how they solve their business challenges and create a win-win relationship.

We do not want reps who use high-pressure sales tactics to just close sales. That does not create a beneficial long-term relationship with our clients, which is crucial to keeping them as a satisfied customer for years to come. We do need problem solvers that work as the customer's advocate.

This is a sales job, so you must not be easily discouraged and for the right personality type this could be an exciting new career with unlimited potential. The residual sales model ensures that you will increase your commission each year as you renew existing customers and bring on new ones.
