Manager Uses ZIP + 4 Service Every Day
Inforte Corp. – a customer intelligence consultancy
– has bolstered its direct marketing efforts with
the help of Melissa Data’s address verification
services.
Inforte’s Managed Analytics division utilizes
Melissa Data’s ZIP + 4 ® service to build better
mailing lists. The service certifies mailings by
appending ZIP + 4 and postal codes to customer
records in the lists. Addresses are matched to the
monthly updated U.S. Postal Service National Address
File and standardized. The service also corrects
addresses and is used for de-duplication.
“Melissa Data’s ZIP + 4 is a cost-effective
solution,” says Dr. Glenn Stoops, senior vice
president. “We’re very happy with the service and
the Melissa Data team is great to work with.”
Stoops says they use the ZIP + 4 service every day.
The client lists managed by the firm range from one
million to 25 million, as they mostly deal with very
large databases. Stoops says the firm also uses the
service when identifying the best prospects (from
the database) for its clients.
“We use it for different types of marketing
programs, including geo-targeted scoring models and
list selection,” he notes.
Stoops is the founder and CEO of GTS Consulting,
which Inforte acquired last July. GTS is a database
marketing company specializing in marketing models,
transaction analysis, direct marketing, database
management and hosting.
