to Place Your Data in the Right Fields
Got data in all the wrong fields? RightFielder API
gives you the power to transform messy text data
into the correct fields that can be used with
database programs. RightFielder “re-fields” badly
fielded lists by distinguishing between name fields,
titles, departments, companies, street addresses,
cities, states, ZIP Codes™ and phone numbers. How
can it do all this?
RightFielder examines each of these fields and
determines whether you’ve got the right data in the
correct field. If not, the program will move the
data into the right fields. For example, if the data
was entered in the wrong place, such as the name of
the person was listed in the company section, or the
address was listed in the company section, the
program will move names into the name fields,
companies into the company fields, etc. The program
fields data by identifying key words and patterns.

Like some of its related programs such as DoubleTake
– RightFielder also can be easily customized to
create the application to best suit your needs. It’s
not just a stand-alone program. RightFielder allows
you to define the layout and field names you would
like to use. In terms of speed, it’s super fast. The
program processes about 1 million records per hour.
Why is using RightFielder important? Because when
field data is not formatted correctly, it can’t be
purged of duplicates, presorted or ZIP + 4® coded.
In short, the program allows you to save money on
postage and printing.
