Wanted – more IT professionals. According to a
recent report, business growth is jump-starting a
stronger demand for more IT professionals. But do
you have the skills that are most in demand? This
report reveals what skills you should have as an IT

The report – developed by Robert Half Technology, an
IT professional provider – states that chief
information officers (CIOs) expect to see a modest
jump in IT hiring in the third quarter of 2006.
Another key finding of the report – customer support
(23 percent) is one of the factors driving a third
quarter IT hiring spurt, while business growth takes
the cake as the number one reason driving IT hiring
(44 percent). Other driving forces: regulatory
compliance (3 percent), information security (4
percent), systems upgrade (12 percent) and ERP
installation (13 percent).
