Avoid mailing to uninterested recipients.
You'll want to suppress the records from your database of individuals who have registered with the Direct Marketing Association because they prefer not to receive advertising mail and/or solicitation phone calls. Suppress it, don’t risk it!
These files are updated monthly and distributed four times a year -- January, April, July, and October. Names remain on file for five years. The match percentage will vary depending on the accuracy and age of the data in your list. Melissa Data recommends that you run NCOALinkTM/DSF2TM, or some combination of address verification before running
Do-Not-Mail suppression on your list.
