Booth Demo Features MatchUp Component for SQL Server and Global Address Verification in the Cloud to Dramatically Enhance Database Efficiency and Effectiveness

WHAT:
Melissa Data, a leading provider of contact data quality and integration solutions, is exhibiting at Microsoft TechEd North America 2012 and demonstrating two recently-released products, MatchUp for SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) – a powerful tool that locates and eliminates duplicate customer records, and a cloud-based Global Address Verification service to correct and standardize address information for more than 240 countries and territories.

WHY:
Up to 10 percent of the contact records in the average database are duplicates, wasting corporate resources and hampering customer relationships. MatchUp is a powerful contact data matching solution that makes use of a tool box of advanced fuzzy matching algorithms, deep domain knowledge, and a custom lexicon to granularly identify matches for a wide variety of criteria. MatchUp also offers users the ability to perform general data quality on product codes, account numbers, and custom data. MatchUp is one of a series of data quality components designed for SSIS that help data stewards get up and running quickly – cleansing, updating and de-duping existing contact data to improve marketing, data quality, and data warehousing initiatives.
