Tips To Reduce Your Mailing Costs

There are numerous ways to reduce the cost of your mailing, all you have to do is know how and when to use them. The following tips were compiled to give you an edge over your competition while keeping your marketing budget to a minimum.

Bundle First-Class Mail and drop-ship it (overnight) to one city. The next day the bundle of mail will be opened and the mail distributed. This will allow you to have only one overnight charge, rather than many.

Don't use dark colored envelopes. They can disqualify you from receiving postal discounts because address information cannot be read by address scanners.

Save spoiled meter postage and submit USPS Form 3533 for a 90-percent refund for up to one year.

Live stamps don't generally increase response rate significantly enough to justify the added application cost. Use a meter stamp instead.

Order #9 envelopes for use as business reply envelopes, since they are designed to fit inside #10 carrier envelopes.

Use automation-compatible envelopes.
