Tips For A Successful Web Site

Here a few tips to keep in my mind that will make your web site more efficient, and increase the number of repeat visitors.

Don't Charge A Fee
Web sites are a sales medium, not a sales-worthy item in itself. After all, you wouldn't charge people to receive a direct mail package, would you?

Keep The Length Of Copy Short
Generally, long copy is not a plus on the Web, as the computer is tough on the eyes. Make the copy readable by breaking up long paragraphs into easier-to-digest chunks.

Avoid Extended Scrolling
Extended scrolling makes the site less user-friendly and discourages visitors from exploring. Have them click on various parts of the site, set up as links, instead of scrolling.

Update Your Site Often
Eighty percent of web site visitors are repeat visitors. This makes it imperative for you to regularly change your offer, use different graphics, and headers.

Sell Your Product Through Benefits
The star players on your web site are much like those of a direct mail package; features of the product or service, benefits and selling copy.
